Ryan Dyck Elected International DECA President

Ryan Dyck, former Colorado DECA 08-09 State Officer from Dakota Ridge HS, was elected to the office of International DECA President at the 2009 International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California, April 29-May 2. Ryan will represent over 200,000 DECA members worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Germany, Puerto Rico, Mexico and South Korea during the 2009-10 school year. Ryan is the second International DECA President to come from Colorado in DECA’s 62 year history. Kelly VanWoerkom served as the International President during the 2007-08 school year. Ryan Dyck

ICDC Recap

 

Colorado DECA did extremely well in competition at the 2009 International Career Development Conference (ICDC).  367 Colorado DECA members were among the 12,000 competitors attending the conference.  Colorado had 41 members make it into the international finals with 25 of them placing in the top ten; 13 of those were in the top three.  Colorado’s 13 trophies tied Ontario, Canada, for the largest number of trophies received by any DECA state/providence association. Congratulations to all who attended the conference and to Ryan Dyck.
