Hello From the 2012-2013 State Officer Team
As the new school year begins, the 2012-2013 Colorado DECA Officer Team continues to 'Dare to Be' the best leaders we can be by serving the members of this great organization. With the advisory committees’ development of the new direction, our team has come up with corresponding improvements to the year. In order to connect with chapters, we are starting communication between the State Representatives and the Chapter Presidents. This may include emails, newsletters, or meetings. To ensure this tactic is successful, we ask that chapter presidents to take advantage of this communicative tool. To change the community, along with the continued partnership with Project Mercy, the team will also be creating a new fund called Colorado DECA Gives Back, where we will raise and save money that will be used towards Colorado DECA members and their families who are undergoing tragedies. As a way to Connect to Businesses, our team will be hosting our meetings at local businesses to learn how their operation works. We will report back our experiences to the Chapter Presidents and hope to create videos with a tour of the facility. Finally, we are very excited to promote competition by hosting the new Southern Colorado Invitational. We hope you will support us in this endeavor by attending. It will be the perfect way to get pumped up and ready for the competition season. Our team wants your chapters to succeed so please don't hesitate to contact us for help and support.
